CBK Reviews PGs,RMGs Guidance Notes Framework for Banks

• Invitation for Comments  from the Public on the Draft Revised Prudential Guidelines (PGs),Risk Management Guidelines (RMGs);
• Guidance Notes and Domestic Systematically Important Banks (D-SIBs) Framework;

The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) is currently reviewing the Prudential Guidelines (PGs), Risk Management Guidelines (RMGs), Guidance Notes and the Draft Domestic Systemically Important Banks (D-SIBs) Framework issued under the Central Bank of Kenya Act and Banking Act.

This review forms part of CBK’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the regulatory framework, enhance the resilience of the banking sector, and align Kenya’s supervisory framework with international standards and emerging best practices.

Accordingly, and in line with Article 118 of the Constitution and sections 4(a) and 5(3) (a) and (b) of the Statutory Instruments Act, 2013,CBK is undertaking public participation on the draft PGs, RMGs,Guidance Notes and D-SIBs Framework.

CBK hereby invites members of the public to submit their comments on these documents to the email address fin@centralbank.go.ke using the template provided on the CBK website, with the subject:
