KenGen Kenya Names Ronoh Kibet Charles as Next Chief Executive and Managing Director
The commercial services executive will take office on February 1, 2027, succeeding Eng. Peter Njenga upon his retirement.
The board of KenGen Kenya has appointed Ronoh Kibet Charles as Managing Director and CEO designate, selecting an executive with more than 17 years of experience in geothermal development, project delivery and commercial strategy.
Mr. Kibet will assume the role on February 1, 2027,succeeding Eng. Peter Waweru Njenga upon his retirement.
The appointment follows a competitive recruitment process. A transition period will allow for an orderly handover and continuity in the company’s strategic priorities.
Mr. Kibet currently serves as KenGen’s General Manager for Commercial Services, overseeing energy markets, investments, new business and partnerships, marketing and corporate communication,and sustainability.
