Yellow Card Co-Founder and CEO Chris Maurice has been recognised among the world’s most influential figures in the stablecoin industry after being named to Stablecon’s Stablecoins Most Influential 2026 list.
The recognition places Maurice in an elite group of entrepreneurs, executives, policymakers and innovators driving the development and adoption of stablecoins and shaping the future of digital finance.
Stablecon, a leading global event and media platform dedicated to the stablecoin ecosystem, compiles the annual list across six regions and a range of industry categories, including issuers, builders and policymakers.
The selection process evaluates nominees against five key measures: influence, impact, innovation, momentum and peer recognition. The framework is designed to identify individuals whose work is having a significant impact on the growth and evolution of the global stablecoin sector.

Maurice joins the 2026 list alongside some of the most prominent names in global finance and technology, including Coinbase President and COO Emilie Choi, Stripe Co-Founder and CEO Patrick Collison, Paxos Co-Founder and CEO Charles Cascarilla, and BlackRock Chairman and CEO Larry Fink.
The recognition adds to Maurice’s growing profile as an advocate for stablecoin adoption and digital financial innovation, particularly in emerging markets.
Over the years, he has delivered keynote addresses at international conferences attended by heads of state, advised ministers and financial regulators, and received recognition through the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2023.
His work and views on the future of digital finance have also been featured by major international media organisations, including CNBC, BBC, Bloomberg, Forbes and Business Insider.
“Many years ago, we took a bet on Stablecoins when few people could see what the future of finance would look like,” said Maurice.
“Today, being celebrated among the leaders of this industry tells me that bet is paying off. Conviction is the only currency that matters before the world catches up to you.”
Yellow Card has continued to expand its footprint under Maurice’s leadership, facilitating more than $7.5 billion in transactions over the past 12 months and growing its presence across Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia and North America.
The company has secured backing from prominent investors, including Polychain Capital, Blockchain Capital and Coinbase Ventures, while also developing strategic partnerships with global companies such as Visa, Mastercard and PayPal.
Yellow Card has received several industry honours, including the Grand Prix in the Payments category at the 2025 Money20/20 USA Awards. The company was also recently named among the companies featured on the inaugural Fortune Crypto Innovators list for 2026.
Maurice’s inclusion on the Stablecon list comes as he continues to champion the use of stablecoins as a tool for connecting businesses and markets, with Yellow Card focused on providing infrastructure that supports cross-border financial transactions.
The latest recognition is expected to further cement his position as one of the leading voices in the global stablecoin movement as the technology gains wider acceptance across financial markets.
