Chandarana Food plus supermarket opened its doors to customers on 7 October 2021 with His Excellency the Deputy Governor of Nakuru County Dr Eric Korir, Egerton University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Isaac Kibwage, and Chandarana Food Plus Director Mr Anil Thakkar cutting the ribbon at Golden Life Mall in Nakuru
The supermarket is the anchor tenant at the Golden Life Mall and will take a lion share of the space available for tenants.
“The mall already has 50% occupancy, and the presence of Chandarana Food plus supermarket will attract more people. This will go a long way in improving the profitability of Golden Life Mall, a project by the Egerton University Retirement Scheme,” said the Vice-Chancellor.
The Deputy Governor welcomed the supermarket’s opening, adding that its presence is indicative of Nakuru’s development as a city. He said that well-known companies in the county will increase employment among the youth and enhance Nakuru’s image as a premier tourism destination.
On behalf of the University Council, Management Board, University Senate, staff and students, the Vice-Chancellor congratulates Chandarana Food Plus supermarket and Egerton University Retirement Benefits Scheme for this achievement.
