- Over 850 students at Gacharage Primary School to benefit from the facilities.

Gacharage Primary School in Kiambu county has benefited from facilities worth Kshs 5Million from Carrefour, owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim in Kenya.
Through the project which has been implemented under Carrefour’s corporate social responsibility initiative ‘Round Up Your Bill’ with the support of its customers, the company has constructed a modern kitchen, hand washing stations, book racks, a 5,000-litre water tank and installation of a solar water pumping system.
“We are thankful to our customers who have continued to support the “Round Up Your Bill initiative’.Which has enabled us to raise enough funds to improve the welfare of the students at Garachage Primary School, providing them with access to clean water and daily meals. Through the initiative, customers can volunteer to round up their shopping bill by a few shillings and donate towards providing essentials for local communities.‘Round Up Your Bill’ is available across all Carrefour stores in the country.

Currently, Carrefour operates 20 stores across the country, with a presence in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu.
