things to do in Nairobi, Kenya
Nairobi is set to host the inaugural GITEX Kenya 2026 from 19th to 21st May 2026, marking a major milestone in Kenya’s positioning as a regional technology and innovation hub.
As anticipation builds, attention is increasingly shifting beyond digital growth to a more pressing issue: the security of rapidly expanding digital infrastructure across East Africa. This will be a central theme for Censys, which will participate alongside its partner EVAD to showcase its SOC Modernization platform.
The platform focuses on improving visibility of organisations’ external attack surfaces, enabling security teams to identify internet-facing systems, cloud assets, and exposed services that may present cyber risks.
Kenya’s digital transformation is accelerating under frameworks such as the Kenya Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2025–2030, which aims to strengthen AI innovation while reinforcing secure and trusted digital infrastructure.
However, as organisations adopt artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and interconnected platforms, new security blind spots are emerging. These gaps are increasingly being viewed not just as technical issues, but as business risks affecting trust, compliance, and operational continuity.
Censys’ platform addresses these challenges by providing continuous discovery of external assets, enriched threat intelligence, and historical internet-wide data to support faster threat detection and response.
Speaking ahead of the event, Censys Vice President for Middle East, Turkey and Africa Meriam ElOuazzani said GITEX Kenya offers a key platform to engage stakeholders shaping East Africa’s digital future.
She emphasised that cybersecurity visibility is becoming essential as organisations scale digital transformation initiatives.
At the exhibition, attendees will experience live demonstrations of the platform and engage with experts on improving asset discovery, threat detection, and cyber risk management.
