Parliament has approved the establishment of the National Cybersecurity Agency (NCSA), a major milestone in strengthening our digital security architecture under the leadership of H.E President William Samoei Ruto.
The autonomous body will coordinate national cybersecurity efforts, safeguard critical information infrastructure and respond to emerging threats such as ransomware attacks, data breaches and misinformation campaigns.
Operating under the State Corporations Act and guided by a multi-sectoral board drawn from security, finance, justice and intelligence institutions, the agency will oversee national cybersecurity strategy, manage the National Cybersecurity Operations Centre, audit critical systems and establish a Centre of Excellence to build advanced digital security skills.

The NCSA will also enhance collaboration between government, industry, academia and international partners, ensuring our growing digital economy remains secure, robust and trusted.
