Commercial International Bank (CIB) Kenya Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Tirus Mwithiga as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) .
His appointment will commence in February 2026, subject to regulatory approval from the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) and the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
Mr. Mwithiga brings over 35 years of extensive banking experience, with a distinguished career across the Kenyan financial sector .
He is a qualified Chartered Banker with an MBA from Bangor University,United Kingdom. Mr. Mwithiga has held senior executive positions at several leading Kenyan banks.
In those roles, he successfully led both corporate and retail banking , driving sustainable business growth, strengthe ning customer relationships, and enhan cing overall performance.
He has also worked with renowned international banks across the East African region and in Singapore.
Throughout his career, Mr. Mwithiga has demonstrated strong leadership in strategy execution, business transformation, portfolio management, and people development.
His deep market expertise and hands -on experience have consistently supported high – performing teams and resilient business outcomes.
