KCB Leads the way in Clean Energy Transition in Learning Institutions KCB has renewed its pledge in supporting learning institutions to transition to clean energy by offering partial grants and financing for green solutions.
This was revealed during the Kenya Secondary School Heads Association (KESSHA) in Mombasa County by Eric Naivasha, KCB Head of Sustainable Finance.
The bank, which is the platinum sponsor of the principal’s annual conference, is keen on ensuring the protection of the forest cover in the country.
The bank focuses on the four key solutions: solar-powered cooking systems that also power lighting and equipment
during non-cooking hours, steam-based cooking combined with solar for energy needs, LPG for clean cooking alongside solar power and biogas systems that convert organic waste into energy, reducing fuel costs and promoting sustainability.
KCB believes the next few years will be critical for the transition to a greener and a more just economy.
As a result, the Bank is ready to step up and work with everyone to help build greater resilience to climate change to protect nature and ensure a seamless transition to a sustainable economy that leaves no one behind.
