The Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairob (AKUH, N) has opened its 54th Medical Centre along Rhapta Road in Westlands.
The Rhapta Medical Centre provides a comprehensive range of general and specialist services such as Obstetrics & Gynaecology, ENT, Paediatrics, Well-baby clinic, Counselling Psychology, Vaccination, Nutrition & Weight Loss and Family Medicine clinic among others.It also offers wellness programmes.

Speaking during the launch, Minet Kenya CEO and Chief Guest at the launch Sammy Muthui, lauded the hospital for its efforts in increasing access to quality care.
“Outreach centres play a critical role in promoting health equity in a world where affordability, proximity and quality remain as challenges.
Currently the current national facility to population ratio stands at just 2.4 per 10,000 people,” he said.
“The opening of this medical centre therefore symbolises hope and inclusion for the over 46 per cent of Kenyans who access medical support from private providers like Aga Khan University Hospital,” he concluded.
The opening of the Rhapta Outreach Medical Centre is in line with the hospital’s strategic goal of expanding access to quality care.
The clinic is supported by on-site Ultrasound services and well-equipped laboratory, and pharmacy services.
“This medical centre is not just a building, it is a promise to deliver quality and accessible care closer to where people live and work, offering convenience to families and improving health outcomes,” said Aga Khan University Hospital CEO Rashid Khalani.
“Rhapta Medical Centre will uphold the same rigorous quality standards that define our care, with well-trained staff and evidence-based medicine,” reiterated Mr Khalani.
The Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi operates 50 medical centres in Kenya and 4 in Uganda. It also runs mobile collection of laboratory samples (blood, urine and stool), home delivery of medication and home care services.
