Centum Investments and ITM Holdings to expand BPO Sector

ITM Holding SASU (ITM) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with Centum Investment Company PLC (Centum), one of East Africa’s leading investment firms.

This strategic partnership will enable ITM to expand into Kenya’s rapidly growing Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector, while supporting Centum’s strategic expansion into Francophone Africa.

As a pan-African conglomerate with 9 companies operating in 18 countries, ITM has a staff compliment of over 15,000 people and brings extensive expertise across sectors such as mining, logistics, financial services, and human resource. By leveraging their complementary strengths, the two companies aim to foster growth, drive innovation, and expand their regional influence across the African continent.

A cornerstone of this partnership is the relocation of ITM’s HR operations into Centum’s TRIFIC Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Nairobi, where ITM will play a crucial role in supporting the HR needs of businesses operating within the zone. Drawing on its multilingual and multi-sector expertise, ITM will deploy several strategic initiatives, mainly:

Delivering comprehensive HR services including staff management, recruitment, onboarding, training, while ensuring full compliance with local labor laws.

⁠Establishing language training and industry-specific skills development programs designed to prepare professionals in TRIFIC SEZ for roles in BPO, Global Business Services (GBS), and other high-value service industries.
Availing skilled professionals proficient in French, Portuguese, German, and English, from various regions across Africa.
