Members of the Enwealth Umbrella Fund earned a strong net return of 18.05% in 2025, as the Fund continued to grow and attract more employers and savers, providing a strong foundation for further expansion in 2026.
The outlook comes against a changing global and domestic economic environment.The conflict in the Middle East could weigh on global economic activity through its impact on oil prices,inflation,trade and financial markets, while anticipated El Niño conditions could affect agricultural production,food prices and broader economic activity.
In Kenya, the shilling is expected to remain relatively stable against the US dollar, supported by strong diaspora remittance inflows.
The Fund’s net assets increased by 12 per cent, from Sh1.056 billion in 2024 to Sh1.185 billion in 2025 while total contributions reached Sh205.3 million.
The growth forms part of a significant five-year growth with the fund growing more than six-fold from KSh196 million in 2021.
These include digital onboarding for MSMEs under the NSSF Tier II opt-out, with integrated modules for Gratuity, Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs), and Post-Retirement Medical Fund (PRMF).
The online member portal further gives members real-time access to their statements, retirement tools and benefit projections, bio data and beneficiary updates,enabling them to track and better plan for their retirement savings.
