- Absa Bank Kenya Signs MoU with Gen Z Connect to Advance Youth Empowerment;
Absa Bank Kenya has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gen Z Connect by Executive Connect to drive youth empowerment and leadership development among young people, supporting the next generation as they build skills, careers and businesses.

The partnership will be delivered through the Bank’s NextGen offering within its Consumer Banking business.
Through the one-year partnership, Absa Bank and Gen Z Connect by Executive Connect will co-create a series of monthly engagements designed to foster direct interaction with young professionals and entrepreneurs.
Each monthly session will focus on key themes including personal leadership and mindset development, financial literacy and money management, entrepreneurship, career readiness and the future of work, as well as digital and financial technology, innovation, and problem-solving.
Speaking about the partnership,Mwihaki Wachira-Director, Marketing & Corporate Affairs said the collaboration aligns with Absa’s purpose of Empowering Africa’s Tomorrow,Together,one story at a time.

Gen Z Connect has built a growing network of over 300 young professionals and entrepreneurs, as well as an active LinkedIn community of more than 2,000 followers.
It focuses on empowering and connecting young leaders,creatives,and professionals through mentorship, networking, leadership forums, entrepreneurship development, and financial literacy programmes.
Commenting on the partnership,Byron Osiro, a patron of Executive Connect, said the collaboration represents a strong alignment of shared values and vision.

The MoU was signed on the sidelines of an Executive Connect Leadership Forum in Nairobi.As part of the partnership,Absa and Gen Z Connect will roll out co-branded activations and events in Nairobi, with plans to progressively expand to other regions including Kisumu,Mombasa,Nakuru,Eldoret,and Nyeri.
