Rwandan President Paul Kagame welcomed Professor Kingsley Chiedu Moghalu, the President of the African School of Governance (ASG), at the Urugwiro Village in Kigali.
The discussion underscored President Kagame’s unwavering commitment to fostering transformative governance and leadership across the African continent.
The African School of Governance, unveiled in October 2024 and based in Kigali, Rwanda, aims to equip emerging African leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary to drive the continent’s development.
The institution will offer graduate programs in policy, research, governance, leadership, and management, with the goal of nurturing the next generation of visionary African leaders.
During the meeting, President Kagame highlighted the importance of the ASG, noting that the institution will “carry the aspirations of the African continent.”
The Rwandan leader recalled that the ASG was conceived to address the inadequate tangible outcomes from previous initiatives to rapidly develop the African continent, despite some progress.
