Risper Ohaga former Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Director-EABL
The Board of Directors of East African Breweries PLC hereby announce the resignation of Ms Risper Ohaga as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Director of EABL with effect from 30th June,2026 to pursue other interests outside the EABL Group,in line with her career aspirations.
Risper had diligently served the beer manufacturing company as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and as an Executive member since February 2020.
During her tenure,she has distinguished herself for the financial acuity and bold decision-making,optimizing the company’s balance sheet and funding during and after the COVID -19 pandemic to ensure that the strategy was fully funded while costs are well managed to deliver strong results .
Risper has been instrumental in driving performance,strengthening controls and governance,building talent and deepening investor relations.
EABL Finance has won multiple accolades in financial reporting awards under her steer leadership
She was a celebrated leader who won the Women on Boards (WoBs) Awards in 2024,The inclusive Leader Award-East Africa 2024 and the CFO of the Year 2024.
Risper also is a finalist at the 2025 CFO of the Year Awards.
She has been instrumental in supporting industry sustainability initiatives through ICPAK‘s National Sustainability Steerco and being a resource person at various leadership forums.
The Board thanked Risper for her visionary leadership across the organization and her exemplary commitment to the business and its stakeholders.
