- From BoardRoom to Batter:How General Manager -Natasha Grace Mixed her Leadership win with Holiday Tradition at Four Points By Sheraton Nairobi Airport;
Christmas came early at Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport Hotel – at the much-anticipated annual cake mixing event, the festivities were heightened following the recognition of Natasha Grace Mwangi as ‘Best General Manager, Airport Hotels in Kenya’ by CEO Destinations 2025.

In an industry still dominated by men, Natasha stands almost alone as one of Kenya’s few female General Managers, and perhaps the only woman in the country leading an airport hotel.
Inside the fast-paced world of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, she’s redefining the industry with a streak of success.

At the event, Natasha notes, “the annual cake mixing ceremony is the most beautiful metaphor for our success. Just like all those diverse ingredients—the spices, the fruits—we, as a team, come together with unique skills.
When we mix them with intention and consistency, we create something rich and spectacular. My General Manager of the Year award is simply the reflection of that well-mixed, perfectly cohesive team. It proves that when we all contribute our best ingredients, the whole house wins.”
Under her leadership, Four Points has earned Kenya’s Best Airport Hotel title for four consecutive years. The hotel has also claimed Kenya’s and Africa’s Leading Airport Hotel 2025 from the World Travel Awards, and Best Airport Hotel 2025 from the International Property Awards.
When asked what it takes to earn such recognition, Natasha’s answer was grounded in the human element. “It takes an enormous amount of resilience and heart.
Earning this award came down to recognising that small habits done consistently lead to big wins.”
Airports never sleep.Flights land through the night, crews check in before sunrise, and travellers drift in from every time zone.
In this restless ecosystem, Four Points has become a haven of calm. Its lights are always on, its service always steady, and its hospitality always human.
Natasha’s management style makes this possible. Each day, she makes it her goal to speak to a hundred people, staff or guests.

“Every morning, I make it a point to greet at least one hundred people in the hotel. It’s my way of setting the tone,” she explained.
She began at a front desk in the UK, juggling part-time shifts with studies in Criminal Justice.By the time she returned to Kenya in 2012, she’d worked through nearly every department.
At Four Points, she’s risen from Front Office Manager in 2017 to General Manager, driven by her insistence on being “where the action is.”
Four Points JKIA‘s heart beats Kenyan. The Tazama Rooftop features local art and graffiti that pulse with Nairobi’s character.
The hotel’s pan-African dining celebrates regional flavours, while its Aeropils craft beer and Kenyan coffee offer travellers a true taste of the country.
During the fireside chat, Natasha addressed her unique position as one of Kenya’s few female general managers. “There is increased scrutiny, yes, but there is an even greater privilege of visibility.
Even though I didn’t have any female mentors to light the path ahead of me, my sincere hope is that my journey creates a brighter, clearer path for someone coming after me.”
Her advice to young women entering hospitality was direct:“Bet on yourself, fiercely. Many rooms you walk into won’t look like you, but your perspective is your power.”
The ceremony also marked the hotel’s eighth anniversary.“Leading this hotel for a significant part of its life feels like watching a child grow up,” Natasha reflected.
“Our eighth anniversary, combined with this award, feels like a powerful validation that perseverance pays off.”
Part of Four Points’ success stems from Natasha’s approach to her predominantly young team.“Feedback, all the time.
That means private coaching when guidance is needed, and immediate, public recognition when they earn it because praise is the most powerful currency we have.”
In a world defined by transience, Natasha has made Four Points a constant. So next time you find yourself passing through JKIA, pause at the Four Points lobby and ask for Natasha.
She’ll always be ready to welcome you home.
