AAR Insurance on Thursday officially inaugurated a new branch called ‘AAR on the Go’ at ABSA Towers in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD).
This marks the company’s 11th branch nationwide and represents a significant milestone in its digital transformation journey. The innovative, paperless outlet aims to provide fast, convenient, and technology-enabled insurance services tailored to urban customers and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Amid a shifting landscape in the insurance industry, this launch comes at a pivotal moment. According to McKinsey, over 60% of new insurance inquiries are now made through digital channels, with customers seeking faster, more flexible ways to engage. ‘AAR on the Go’ addresses this demand by offering a smart, walk-in experience designed for the mobile-first economy.
The branch has been thoughtfully designed as a fully digital service hub to support AAR Insurance’s broader environmental sustainability goals by minimizing physical paperwork and reducing in-branch processing times. This digital-first approach promotes smarter resource use, enhancing convenience, speed, and overall service quality for clients.
Built for today’s fast-paced environment, ‘AAR on the Go’ enables customers and agents to access services instantly—without paperwork. Features include digital onboarding via QR code, real-time access to marketing materials and product information, all aimed at empowering users through hassle-free engagement.
“This initiative is about giving our customers and partners more control and making insurance services more accessible, responsive, and centered around their needs,” said Justine Kosgei, CEO and Principal Officer of AAR Insurance. “With ‘AAR on the Go,’ we’re not only delivering value and efficiency but also safeguarding the health and wellbeing of our customers in line with our mission.”
Strategically located in the heart of Nairobi, the branch enhances accessibility for agents, individual customers, and SMEs. By being closer to its stakeholders, AAR Insurance is strengthening its footprint while enabling more direct, personalized service delivery.
“‘AAR on the Go’ is more than a smart branch; it’s a symbol of our transformation journey,” added Kosgei. “It reflects our commitment to innovation and customer-first thinking. We’re cutting wait times, reducing paperwork, and bringing our services directly to where our customers are.”
Esther Koimett, Chairperson of AAR Insurance Kenya, echoed this vision stating that the launch goes beyond technology.
“It’s about meeting customers where they are and ensuring that insurance keeps pace with their evolving expectations. It’s a bold step toward inclusive, efficient, and future-ready insurance delivery.”
The new branch seamlessly blends digitization with accessibility to deliver a smarter, more personalized approach to insurance—one that is simple, efficient, and tailored to meet today’s customer needs.
