In the November review, Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), a global leader in investment decision support tools , delivered a major boost to Kenya’s capital markets with the inclusion of two additional NSE listed companies in its MSCI Frontier Small Cap Index.
This latest development brings the total number of NSE-listed companies represented across MSCI’s Frontier Markets and Small Cap Indices to sixteen (16), reflecting growing international confidence in the depth, resilience, and long-term potential of Kenya’s listed equities.
The inclusion positions Kenya as a key frontier hub for global institutional investors seeking exposure to emerging opportunities in the East Africa region.

In August last year,Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC (KenGen),Africa’s premier green energy generator, was inducted into the Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) Frontier Markets Small Cap Index.
