ASUS Eyes Kenya’s AI Growth with Showcase of Smart Commercial Devices at GITEX

Media OutReach Newswire May 12, 2026

Technology giant ASUS is set to deepen its presence in Africa’s fast-growing technology market through its participation in the inaugural GITEX Kenya exhibition scheduled for May 19-21, 2026 in Nairobi.

The company announced that it will use the event to showcase its latest lineup of AI-powered commercial devices and digital productivity solutions tailored for businesses, government institutions and small and medium enterprises.

ASUS said the showcase comes at a time when Kenya and the wider region are increasingly embracing artificial intelligence, cloud computing and digital transformation as key drivers of economic growth.

Speaking ahead of the exhibition, Tolga Özdil, ASUS Regional Commercial Director for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META), said the company sees strong growth potential in Kenya’s evolving technology ecosystem.

“We’re excited to be a part of the inaugural edition of GITEX Kenya. The country plays an important role in ASUS’s commercial long-term vision for the African market,” he said.

Özdil noted that ASUS is positioning itself to support organizations seeking secure, AI-ready computing solutions capable of meeting modern workplace demands.

At the exhibition, ASUS will present several devices from its commercial portfolio, including the ExpertBook series, workstation PCs and AI-enhanced productivity tools.

Among the key products expected to draw attention is the recently launched ExpertBook Ultra (B9406), ASUS’s flagship ultra-light business laptop engineered for next-generation professionals.

The device weighs less than one kilogram and features up to 50 TOPS NPU capability, enabling AI tasks to be processed directly on the device without compromising speed, battery life or user experience.

According to the company, the integration of AI at hardware level allows professionals to access intelligent features even when offline, while maintaining enterprise-grade security standards critical for organizations handling sensitive data.

Other devices to be showcased include the ExpertBook B5405, P5405, P440 All-in-One PC and the P500 ExpertCenter Mini Tower.

ASUS will also demonstrate AI ExpertMeet, a smart collaboration solution designed to improve workplace efficiency through live transcription, meeting summaries and AI-assisted communication tools.

The company said its participation aligns with Kenya’s AI Strategy 2025-2030, which seeks to position the country as a regional hub for artificial intelligence innovation and research.

ASUS added that sustainability, cloud readiness and AI-first innovation remain central pillars in the design of its commercial technology ecosystem.

Visitors attending GITEX Kenya will be able to experience the company’s latest innovations at Hall 2, Stand B45 during the three-day technology exhibition in Nairobi.
