Moses Wekesa newly appointed Managing Director & CEO,Kenya Airports Authority (KAA)
The Kenya Airports Authority Board has appointed Mr. Moses Wekesa as the authority’s new Managing Director/CEO following a competitive recruitment process.
Mr.Wekesa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta Unversity of Technology (JKUAT),a Master of Sccience degree in Mechanical Engineering (Applied Mechanics) from the University of Nairobi (UoN),and postgraduate qualifications in Finance,Appraisal and Project Planning from the University of Bradford (UK).
The decision was made following the rigorous,competitive process that identified him as the idel leader for the job and to drice KAA’s ambitious Agenda.
Wekesa has managed high-impact projects across diverse economic sectors in Europe,Asia,the Pacific and Africa.
Previously,Wekesa served as a Business Development Director at Kengen Plc,where he spearheded the Organization’s core Business growth.
The KAA Board has shown confindence on Wekesa’s expertise especially on the wider infrastructure sector ,equipping him to advance the Kenya’s Aviation Infrastructure.
Mr.Wekesa has 17 years of experience in infrastructure development and project management, Mr. Wekesa will lead KAA’s transformation agenda, including the modernization and expansion of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
The Board congratulated Wekesa on this appointment and wish him success in steering Kenya’s aviation sector to greater heights.
KAA is on the implementation and transformative initiatives ,including the modernization and expansion of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport(JKIA) which is aimed at strengthening Kenya’s position as a Regional Aviation and Logistics Hub.
