Equity is honoured to partner with the Ministry of Education at the 64th Kenya National Drama and Film Festival, a platform that has grown into Sub-Saharan Africa’s largest celebration of culture and artistic excellence.

Equity’s sub-theme this year, “Leveraging Technology to make Banking a Lifestyle”, champions innovation and digital financial inclusion, demonstrating that banking is no longer a place you go, but something you can do from anywhere, at any time.

The Bank is also rewarding excellence at the festival through cash rewards and trophies, while continuing to support the wider education ecosystem with tailored solutions for learning institutions and stakeholders.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Equity Bank’s Head of Education Sector, Peter Ndoro, praised the discipline and creativity of learners, teachers, and trainers, noting their role in shaping Kenya’s performing arts and advancing digital transformation.

Equity reaffirmed its commitment to grow with the participants through investments in technology, education, and strategic partnerships that expand opportunities for wealth creation.

As a partner of the Kenya Music Festival, Equity Bank contributed Kshs.25 million for this year’s festival and has committed an additional Kshs. 100 million over the next four years, with an annual contribution of Kshs. 25 million.
This collaboration underscores the Bank’s commitment to supporting educational initiatives and highlighted its belief in the role of music in promoting culture as a powerful catalyst for positive change for a nation and its people.
